I wholeheartedly concur; this was emphatically stressed and then some in Dr. Everson’s book on applying to residency. I think the only exception I made to this was when a residency coordinator mentioned more than 3 times during the course of our day that their department was “going green” and sent us interviewees a pointedly non-subtle e-mail with the e-mails of all the people we’d interviewed with. I felt like she all but told us not to send in anything other than e-mails. But that was the one rare exception.

I was wondering how early was ”early.” I am planning to take my MCAT on May 20 and send in my primary applications by the first week of June. The estimated score release date for the May 20 MCAT is June 21. Thanks!
