Dr. Finkel is a graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Medical School. On completing her residency at Harvard, she was asked to stay on as faculty at Harvard Medical School and spent five years teaching at the world-renowned Massachusetts General Hospital. She was appointed to the Assistant Residency Director position for the Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency where she reviewed countless applications, personal statements and resumes.

Step 2: Submit your written material(s) in Microsoft Word as an attachment to insidermedical@gmail.com. If you are submitting an AMCAS® for editing, please copy and paste your document into a Microsoft Word document for legible editing.

Step 3. Dr. Finkel sends back your edited draft. Revise it and return it for the next round.

Each Editing Service includes up to three edits of your written material.

To get the best final product, each editing service above provides three edits of the originally-submitted materials only; clients may not substitute a new essay or essays for second or third edits. Please note the original document, as well as subsequent drafts submitted for editing, must fit within the word count.

How long should my medical school personal statement be?

Dr. Finkel edits personal statements up to 800 words.

How many secondary essays can Dr. Finkel edit?

As many as you like, within a total word count: up to 800 words for the Secondary Essay service, or up to 2,400 words for the Secondary Essay Expanded Package. Please include secondary essay prompts for clarity; the prompts will not count toward the word limit.

How fast is the turnaround?

Dr. Finkel’s turnaround time is very fast. Unless there is an unforeseen event, edits come back within 48 to 72 hours.

Occasionally, applicants need a highly expedited timeline. Such requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis depending on Dr. Finkel’s availability; pricing varies based on the volume of requests at the time and the level of urgency.
