Background for the Common App Essay and College Supplemental Essays:
The following checklist of materials, when sent in advance of the College Essay Writer’s Block Package, allows Dr. Finkel to provide individually tailored advice for applicants for their college essay(s). Those applicants able to send all or most of these items will benefit from more specialized and case-specific recommendations.
a. High school transcript (unofficial copy okay)
b. SAT/ACT scores (unofficial copy okay)
c. List of activities or resume/curriculum vitae (first drafts okay)
d. List of supplemental prompts if relevant to the essays you’d like to discuss. (Dr. Finkel has the current Common App prompts.)
e. Any major concerns you have about your candidacy.
f. List five things that make you distinctive in a positive way.
Items must be sent to insidermedical@gmail.com at least 72 hours prior to your conversation with Dr. Finkel. Please note that all documents must be in Word except transcripts and test scores, which can be left in PDF form.
